I’m not quite sure why though because when comparing it to the other books I have read, I find it incredibly lacking.

Really clear, simple explanations, with easy to follow diagrams. He includes suggestions on how to make your drawings a lot simpler, drawing methods for observation and space division, a “Remember” section at the end of each chapter in which he summarizes the most important information and principles presented in that chapter, and a “Problems” perspectkve with exercises that will help you apply what you just learned.

This would make a great gift for anyone who’s interested in starting art, possibly even art students because from what I’ve seen with my friends, not all art classes teach perspective effectively. I was surprised how complex it actually is.

Once you get it, you get it forever. I wouldn’t recommend this at all to anyone.

There was a problem filtering reviews right now. When I first picked this book up at the library, I thought it was going to be really basic. I’m not what you’d call a super talented artist, and I found this to be very encouraging and helpful.
